GSA Student-Parent Award

The $500 GSA Student-Parent Award was created to help alleviate the financial burdens that parents incur while obtaining a university degree and to recognise academic accomplishments. The GSA realises that students with families have added financial responsibilities, which make higher education less accessible to them. In establishing the criteria for this award, the GSA congratulates all student parents in their efforts to balance academic responsibilities and parenthood. Applicants must be members of the GSA.

2010/11 Deadline:

Applicants must be members of the GSA.

GSA Honour Award

The GSA honour award was established by the GSA council in 2001 in order to recognise those graduate students who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and dedication to Carleton, and the graduate community specifically. Nominators can be students, faculty, associations, on- or off-campus groups, administration, or alumni. While there is no cash component to this award, it is a great way to recognise deserving grads. Four awards will be handed out per year, normally in April. Applicants must be members of the GSA.
